INTERNSHIPS AT MASSMAN
Meet Ben - Engineering Intern Alum
We interviewed Ben about his internship on the MPLX Dock project. This is what he had to say about his experience:
What are your thoughts about the internship overall?
“I enjoyed the work immensely. Designing plans and drawings using AutoCAD and then helping the guys in the field execute the task using what I thought through and made was extremely rewarding and interesting. The work is so dynamic - different and unique challenges and opportunities for improvement arise every day.”
In what ways do you believe your internship at Masman will benefit you in the future?
“I learned excellent lessons in how to work with people as I saw the engineers navigate relationships with the subcontractors. Additionally, immersing myself in such a unique type of construction gives me tremendous insight into how to execute really large-scale projects.”
What advice do you have for other students interested in pursuing an internship at Massman Construction Co.?
“Avail yourself of each opportunity to learn. If nobody has anything for you to do at the moment, check out whatever around you seems interesting and the people you work with will open the doors. Everyone is eager to share their knowledge, answer your questions, and help you develop in any way possible.”
